NEW!

We're going to ArtPrize for the second year in a row! Scroll down for more info.

“When you make art, your soul connects with the earth and with other beings, past, present and future. You hold wool in your hands that is the gift of some sheep and the product of the grass she eats and the air she breathes. You take stitches in the same way women have been taking stitches for thousands of years, making clothes for their families and beautiful objects for their homes, churches and communities. You organize objects in your painting the same way a bird builds a nest. You gaze upon a sculpture that was made five hundred years ago and realize that you understand what the artist was thinking. You open eyes to new ways of thinking. You change the world, and you change yourself.”

Latest News!

Last September, Karen Eckberg and I showed our collaboration, Triptych Aerie, at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids. This year, we are very proud to announce that we added a collaborator to our team, sculptor Naomi Moes. Our work, a bust of Medusa, was accepted and will be exhibited at ArtPrize 2025 at the Atrium at Uccello's, right across from the Grand Rapids Art Museum. We are so excited! If you're in the Grand Rapids area, please visit and vote for our work!

ArtPrize is an international public art exhibition which takes place every September in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With over 900 accepted entries, the city itself becomes the venue with galleries, restaurants, event centers, banks, and parks hosting work. More info at www.artprize.org
